Kendra Scott Fall 18 Southampton X Live Sketch by Deanna First

I was honored when one of my favorite jewelry brands Kendra Scott approached me to live sketch at their store in Southampton to celebrate the upcoming launch of Kendra Scott Fall 2018 line!

I've only been to The Hamptons a handful of times so it was exciting to get the chance to go back. I custom drew their Filigree Photo Frame in antique silver and rose gold prior to the event. I always leave a little bit of space for my sketches which take roughly 5-7 minutes to draw.

Customers could sip on lemonade, get sketches and were treated to their favorite snacks with every purchase.

If you missed me this time I will be back in September at the opening of their Soho store in NYC! TBA specific date and time but stay tuned. :)

Lafayette 148 NY X Deanna First at Nordstrom, Costa Mesa by Deanna First

Honored to be part of another amazing event in partnership with Lafayette 148 New York! I headed to CA for the second time this month to live sketch attendees wearing their favorite Lafayette look. The event took place at Nordstrom, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA and lasted for roughly 3 hours.

Attendees were served cocktails while waiting for the runway presentation to begin. This collection is filled with so many amazing prints that really exude confidence. I am so excited to be part of their #WomenArtists Series this year. Photos are by the talented Jarod Harris Photography.

Their Spring 2018 Collection is just breathtaking! Shop Lafayette 148 New York new collection and you will not be disappointed. #LafayetteLoves #WomenArtists

Deanna First Illustrates for Christie's Luncheon celebrating YSL Accessories Book by Deanna First

When Christie's approached me to create life-size couture sketches to decorate their walls for the Christie's Luncheon celebrating Phaidon's new publication Yves Saint Laurent Accessories I was thrilled!

This was the first time I was creating artwork of this scale covering 3 walls in preparation for the gathering. All pieces were created with acrylic paint and charcoal painted directly onto the walls. The looks were inspired by his famous Fall 1979 collection and were intentionally painted in a black and white minimal style which evokes a sketchbook aesthetic.
