In March 2025, illustrator Deanna First was commissioned by Greenwich Lifestyle Magazine for their monthly culture and lifestyle publication. The cover depicted one of the many stately homes in Greenwich, Connecticut, rendered in her signature style, capturing the town’s historic charm. The use of birds flying in the blue skies, cherry blossoms in full bloom and the welcoming open gates - captures the energy of CT.

Later that year, in August 2025, Deanna was invited to participate in a live-sketch event hosted by the magazine for their annual Local Love Awards, a celebration honoring exceptional local business owners, creatives, and community leaders. Set against the backdrop of a warm summer evening, Deanna sketched live portraits and scenes from the event, turning moments into art in real time. Her presence added a personal and artistic touch to the evening, reinforcing her growing connection to the Greenwich community and solidifying her role as a visual storyteller for the town’s evolving cultural landscape.
